When I reach a plateau in my language learning journey, I like to remind myself that it's normal and not to be discouraged. I also tell myself that I don't have to be learning at the same speed as I did in the past and that as long as I am learning even just one new word a day, I am still making progress. I really enjoy watching dramas and videos in my target language because it keeps me exposed to hearing the language being spoken. I also find it very helpful staying connected with my language partners because it helps keep me motivated. Encountering plateaus in language learning can be frustrating and discouraging at times but you don't need to let it derail you from continuing your language learning journey.
