Tears are weird. They show up when we’re overwhelmed, when we're relieved, or even when we laugh too hard. I think it’s kind of amazing how our body has this built-in way of expressing what we can’t always put into words.
When my uncle passed away, I didn’t cry right away. I kept it together through the funeral, the family, all the noise. But once everything settled down—when the house got quiet and life started moving again—that’s when the tears finally came. Like my heart waited until it was safe to fall apart.
