Great question. I use both, and I recommend using both. The website and app have slightly different functionality. Interacting with podcasts, for example, seems to work better on the app. I've contacted iTalki about this and they are working on it.

In order not to miss any pieces of information regarding the English language, I always use the italki app, and if you have any confusion related to the English language you can ask wherever you are.
