The Internet allows knowledge that is organized in an optimal way to be accessed on a very granular way, whenever and wherever needed. Of course the Internet also hosts the worst information, you need skills to actually access its best part. All of that said, there are areas of knowledge that benefit much less from the Internet. A surgeon would never become a surgeon no matter how good mentors nor how many thousands of hours of the best theory one has read, but only by practice, that requires a specialized place and equipment.
