What does “score” mean in “scored a keg”? In this scene from the film i’m watching, the dad says to his daughter who’s planning on going to a party, “I know what this party is about. The parents are out of town, right? Somebody’s **scored a keg**, You guys are gonna have a good time trash the whole house.” Now what does “score a keg”, especially the verb “score” mean here exactly? Is this phrase used as some kind of an idiom? Thanks a lot in advance!

Score just means to acquire, to get. It's got a positive connotation. It also implies a little bit of good fortune, or luck in something that would otherwise be kind of hard. I scored tickets to the concert. I scored a job interview at Google. I scored a keg (they're underage, can't legally buy alcohol, so it's kind of hard to do so) Hope this helps!
