I write my diary in English everyday, so I might as well write about today's date and weather now.
Is this the right way to use “might as well”?
Please let me know if there are any mistakes. I'm sorry in advance for my late reply.

Might as well is when something leads to what you will do but usually might as well doesn't carry excitement or interest.
Ex:
I'm near the ocean so I might as well swim.
I'm at a wedding so I might as well dance.

Good job! You use might as well when you're reluctant to do something. Here it would mean you're reluctant to write in your diary in English. I think it's good that you keep a diary, it will help you improve your English! :)

Usually you would use “might as well” for a situation that you are not enthusiastic about. I’ll give you an example that involves something no one likes: homework. “I might as well start my homework now since it is due tomorrow.”
Hope this helps!
