In some beliefs a bad deed will create a bad karma, that will be transferred from one to another and never therefore dies.
However it is rather believed that a bad dead could be made up for with a good dead so its negative effect dies out.

A bad thing never dies.
遗臭万年。
This is a Spanish proverb referring to a bad wound which can never heal. It can either be a physical wound or something you have said or done that cannot be fixed.
