2 am belong to last night or this morning?
I found it is interesting that in Chinese either can do. you can say 昨天晚上2点,you also can say 今天凌晨2点。
So how about English?I found no one corrected me when I wrote 2 am last night.

It depend on the context. If you wake up early, then you might say you woke up at 2 this morning. If you are referring to a late night out with some fiends, then you might say that you were out until 2 last night.
Hope this helps.

'AM' in general refers to morning timing and 'PM' to afternoons and evening until midnight.
Thus '2 am' is 2 o'clock in the morning.
For example if it is 2 AM on Saturday, then 3 hours ago from then ,it was 11 PM on Friday.
