what does this sentence mean? this sentence is from a song called Closing Time, the lyric says "I know who I want to take me home" I'm wondering what the lyric writer want to indicate, is that I want to take somebody to my home or I want to be taken by somebody to their home? Looking forward to hearing from you guys!

"To take someone home" has two meanings: 1. You can take them to your own place for sex. 2. You can take them to their place by car or something. Give them a lift home as a favour. So I can't tell you which one is meant in the song. It is most likely #1, because that is what all songs are about.

To me it means that this person know who he wants to take home with him. So it doesn't mean "I want to be taken by somebody to their home".

It is to their home, and romantically so. If it were your home, it would be "I know who I want to take home". In this case, you can safely assume that the performer of the action is also the person who has the home in question. In the original lyric, the "taking home" is done by someone else.

The song interpretation is entirely up to you. But it probably means that the singer wants a certain person to take them home or wishes they would. They have their eyes on that person.

"I know who I want to take me home" = I am the one to decide on who could take me home (This could also have a romantic sense)
