"Much fruit" or "Many fruits"

In general, "fruit" is uncountable: "much fruit".
When we use "many fruits", we actually mean "many (different) kinds of fruit".

Either is correct, depending on context. Many fruits are grown in South America. Much fruit was served at dinner last evening.
