be teached or be taught?
Dear friend! I have a question about the passive conjunction of "teach". Should I say "the child is taught to do so. " or "The child is teached to do so."?
Thank you very much for your help!

the child was taught (past tense)
the child is taught (present continuous - he was taught - he still is taught - and will be continuing to be taught)
teached is never correct.

I agree with Zac's statement, however, it is unclear from your question if you wanted a past tense or present tense sentence. So, if you want past tense, Zac's answer is correct (The child was taught to do so.). But if you want present tense, "The child is taught to do so." is correct. An example of the present, ongoing tense would be:
Is that child taught to read English and Mandarin? Yes, the child is taught to do so.

Neither. You would say The child 'was taught to do so.'
Hope this helps! =)
