This is grapes. / These are grapes.
The word "grapes" is plural, but ... Grapes are small, they are persieved as a whole mass, so which of the sentences is ok (of course when it comes not to a few separate grapes, but to an entire bunch or more?
Thanks)

Liza - grapes are plural, a bunch of grapes is singular.
Therefore - "These are grapes" and "This is a bunch of grapes"
I hope the are tasty!

(1) Suppose: "These are grapes" refers to "grape" = "These" is pointing to more then one grape. - Plural.
(2) Lets say : "This is a bunch of grapes" = "This" is pointing to "bunch" and it is only one bunch - bunch is Singular. (although its contains many grapes).
(3) Now consider : "This is a barrel of bunches of grapes" refers to "barrel" = "This" is pointing to "barrel" and it is only one barrel - barrel is Singular. (although its contains many bunches & grapes).
I hope above will helps!
