It's called "sino-Korean numbers"^^/
Native-Korean numbers are used when talking about....
1) age with 살, 한 살(one year old)/ 두 살(two years old)
2) hour of day, 1:00 am(오전 한 시)/ 2:00 pm(오후 두 시)
3) number of people, 한 명(one person)/두 명(two persons)
4) number of things, an apple(사과 한 개)/ two apples(사과 두 개)
while sino-Korean numbers are used for....
1) age with 세, 25세(이십오 세), "세" is more formal than "살"
2) date, 2011/12/19(이천십일 년 십이월 십구일)
3) temperature, -10℃(마이너스 십도(씨))
4) minutes and seconds, 20 minutes(이십 분)/ 30 seconds(삼십 초)
5) money, 3,456 Won(삼천 사백 오십 육원)
6) mobile phone numbers, 010-4572-1234(공일공 사오칠이 일이삼사)
