What is the difference between words hire, loan and rent?

There isn't really much similarity between the three...
"Hire" means to have somebody work for you at your company
"Loan" means to let somebody borrow something from you whether for free or not
"Rent" means to borrow for a defined period of time in return for compensation

Hire means you pay money to get something for a while.
loan is the noun of to lend.
rent is you pay money to have something for a period of time.
You can hire a person for his or her services.
ex I hired him as a guide to show me the scenic places.
or
I hired a car for a week.
Loan
ex He did not have enough money to buy the house so he took a loan from the bank.
Rent
The rent on my apartment is 500 dollars a month.
I rented an apartment in Soho.
