Also zuerst: Es gibt kein entsprechendes Deutsches Sprichwort dafür.
Die "offizielle" Übersetzung ist: "Durch die Ferne wächst die Liebe".
Und ja, absence ist Abwesenheit, nicht Entfernung, aber das klingt nicht so schön.
