snort = short, quick sound made through the nose
It's a short, quick sound of laughter through the nose.
You don't get a snort of giggles! Just a snort of laughter.

It is the way some people laugh, some laugh out loud, some subdue their laugh and giggle ,others seem to laugh and involve their nose, so it is like they they are trying to laugh through their nose .!. a snort, hahaha it is all positive . We should all laugh a lot more

"snort of laughter" means the laughter with a snort, which sound showing the contempt, ridicule in one's credulity/difference/appearance/odd/...etc.
"laugh (at)" means "make fun of sb/st,scorn by laughing with the sounds out"
"giggle" means "an amusing person/thing,joking" or "laugh in half suppressed spasms without the sounds out loud "
These are some ways to laugh,so they're possitive or negative depends on the context, how to express(maybe a snort of laughter is just for fun,for example),...etc.
