You can say : I'm looking for a new job, do you know of any?

"If I have quit my job, what can I say to others? Something clever?"
If you say "if I quit my job", this means a possible future event, not a past event.
So... euphemistic ways of saying you're jobless? :)
"I'm between jobs."
"I am currently a Lady of Leisure."
"I'm on an extended vacation."
"I'm on hiatus."
"I'm in the process of moving forward."

if you want to tell the people that you have no job:
- I don't have a job right now.
- I am looking for a new job.
- I am unemployed.
- I am applying for a new job.
If you want to say you want to quit the job:
- I have just quit my job because it was really boring.
- I have written a letter of resignation to quit.

I told them to:
Take this job and shove it
Put this job where the sun 'don't' shine
it's been real, it's been fun- but it 'ain't' been real fun
to kiss my ass
It's time for them to find a new door matt to walk all over because this one is gone

If you want to tell other people that you don't have a job at the moment, you tell them you are "unemployed".
I am not sure though if this is what you want to say. But i hope this will help you.
Good Luck!
