When does 바라다 become 바래요?
Hello, I run into this sentence: 항상 행복하길 바래.
At first, I thought the dictionary form of 바래 is 바래다 but looking at Naver's definition of 바래다, it doesn't seem right. After some googling, I found out that 바래 there is from 바라다.
Why does it become 바래 and not 바라?
Thank you and have a nice day~~

most people is using "바래" even though it was wrong.
바라 is hoping something, and 바래 is losing color. totally different definition.
So... 바라 become 바라다&바라요. 바래 become 바래다&바래요.
