orbit = go around in a circle, to move or travel around in an orbital or elliptical path: The earth orbits the sun once every 365.25 days.to send into orbit, as a satellite.

What DOES "Orbit" MEAN, as a verb?
The moon ORBITS the Earth. The Earth ORBITS the Sun, etc.

Orbit has only one meaning as a verb which means to travel in a circular or elliptical path around some other body.
