wondering/asking about true feelings in Japanaese I know that adding かな at the end of a sentece is the equivalent of "I wonder". If I want to say "I wonder what your true feelings are" would this be correct? 何を本音ですかな And if I just want to ask directly? 貴方の本音何ですか

Hi Billy, I think that "I wonder what your true feelings are" is going to be あなたは本当はどう思っているのかな...。in our usual conversation between friends.(the formal sentence is あなたは本当はどう思っているのでしょうか or あなたの本音はいかがでしょうか?) If I translate your frase direcly, 私はあなたの本音が何なのかふしぎに思う. But in my opinion it's not natural. Hope it helps you.

That grammar is good but seldom get right answers because Japanese usually not ask you saying is acute is,it you doubt the person. First one is your thinking so normal use. Even if close relationship never ask straight
