I believe a Professional Teacher posesses professional certification, while a Community Teacher is just someone who knows the language well and can teach others.

As a professional teacher on italki, I had to upload my qualifications.  A community tutor doesn't need to do this (and I'll add that there are plenty of great community tutors on italki, so do contact them as well!).
