Mandarin pronunciation
I know that in Mandarin 你好 is hello. But I'm not too sure how to pronounce it. Can somebody please help?

the pinyin of 你好 is "ni hao" but if you were to spell it out using english it would look more like "knee how" haha, yea.. sounds funny.

How can we show you pronunciation here? Find an online talking dictionary. That should help.

If you want help with Mandarin pronunciation, one of the best resources I know of is free. It is the 6 pronunciation lessons which are part of the Foreign Service Institute Chinese course. This was used to teach U.S. diplomats who would be working in China. You can listen to / download them here:

For the "Resource Module", get the "Text" and also the "Pronunciation and Romanization" audio, Tape1 - Tape6. These provide excellent teaching of how to pronounce pinyin.
