"tuwa" means "joy / happiness"
(So, "nakakatuwa" means "something that makes you happy / joyful")
"tawa" means "laughter"
(So, "nakakatawa" means "something that makes you/other people laugh")
Hope that helps! (^_^)

Nakakatawa can be used for anything that makes or made you laugh.
Nakakatuwa is for things that goes beyond laughter and being funny, it's for things that make you happy.

There is another word "katawatawa" which means "laughable" or something related to the sardonic English comment "this is a `joke', don't take it seriously". Example: "Ang alok niya ay katawatawa" which means "His offer is laughable. Don't take it seriously."
