In years, Americans refer to 1905 the year, as "Ninteen OH Five" Phone numbers may be referred as 360-270-1503 which reads: "Three---Six----OH-----Two---Seven----OH----Fifteen---OH---Three" Of course, in English we are supposed to say ZERO; but try telling that to Americans. They do what they want, and convention is a difficult reality to object to. .

"Twelve-oh-five" is how we pronounce "12:05". It's the time.

All English speakers use this convention by the way. It's not just Americans.
