Active voice: the car knocked down the boy. Passive: Theboy was knocked down by the car. Simply- if you swap the subject and object around, you should put the verb To be before the adjective, then change the tense of the verb. Followed by 'by'
Many study chinese, subject-verb-object
Chinese is studied by many. Original object- to be - verb+ed- by original subject
