what does "that was it for him" mean? please.. Sally: Anyway, we talked about it for a long time and I said, "This is what I want." and he says, "Well I don't." and I said, "Well I guess it's over." and he left. And the thing is I... I feel really fine. I am over him, I mean I really am over him. And that was it for him. That was the most that he could give. And everytime I think about it I am more and more convinced that I did the right thing. what does "that was it for him" mean? please..

That was it for him has the connotation of meaning 'her feelings for him died' or 'that was his last chance with her'. It is an expression that is hard to make more literal. When people say it it usually means the door of opportunity has closed. I hope this helps you. :)
