"kinda" is a contraction of "kind of". It usually means "moderately" or "to some extent".
You will hear "kinda" a lot in spoken English, but it's not a contraction you should usually write down. Hope that helps :)

"kinda" is an informal contraction of "kind of", which means rather or somewhat. I think of "kinda" as being slang. You would not use "kinda" in written English, unless you were quoting spoken English:
The teacher said, "Thomas, you were kinda alert during today's class. What a pleasant surprise!" (it is hoped that this wasn't an English teacher using "kinda" :-)
Some similar informal contractions to be aware of:
"wanna" means "want to"
"gonna" means "going to"
BTW: be aware that the same sound made by "of" and "'ve" confuses native speakers who occasionally write silly English like this:
WRONG:
"I could of been a great pianist if only my parents had bought me the baby grand piano that I had wanted when I was in kindergarten."
CORRECT:
"I could've been a great pianist if only my parents had bought me that baby grand piano that I had wanted when I was in kindergarten."
