Pronounciation of Mongolian 'x'

Today I tried pronoucing some Mongolian words that have 'x' in them, like "хаан." It's really hard for me.
I read that this is the same as the ch in 'loch' as pronouced by Scottish people.

Do you have any tips for pronoucing this sound?

According to an article, х is similar to h in hot.
