What's the Difference between "Kein" and "Nicht"? I've read my textbook but still feel confused, who can help to explain this question."Er spricht kein Französisch" und "Er spricht Französisch nicht", welcher ist richtig?

kein = nicht ein Whenever you'd write "nicht ein" in a Text, you write "kein" instead. Under some conditions (e.g. strong emphasis) you can also write "nicht ein".
