I looked at your other questions and I think your question here relates to linking within language teaching? Linking is a feature of connected spoken discourse ... a good example is vous allez in French which is spoken as vou zallez (the final consonant sound of vous ... links to the next word) It is similar to assimilation, which is when sounds get left out in a stream of sound e.g. I should have >>> I shoulda (the /v/ sound disappears -- that is assimilation) This is part of intonation awareness and teaching listening.
