What's the difference?
Ex: A strong/hard/heavy wind

We can only stay a strong wind, not a hard or a heavy wind.
Hard is for something physical like hard wood,stone.
Heavy is the opposite of light -something hard to lift or carry.

I agree with Ruthi. Normally we say strong winds though some people would say heavy winds.
