What's the difference between estimate and evaluate ?
Could u pls give me some examples? Thanks in advance.

"Estimate" means to make an informed guess, usually about something that can be quantified. "I estimate he is six feet tall." Or as a noun: "My estimate is that it is worth $100."
"Evaluate" means to examine and judge the quality of something. "I evaluated your calculations and find you made a small error." Or as the noun "evaluation". "My evaluation of him as an employee is that he does his job very well." "He made an evaluation of the company's investment policy."

"estimate: means to give an unsure value ( grade /mark/price/ ..etc ) without a set of criteria/ standard. " Evaluate" means to give a value /grade according to crtieria right away

As I was taught, "estimate: means to give an unsure value ( grade /mark/price/ ..etc ) without a set of criteria/ standard.
" Evaluate" means to give a value /grade according to crtieria right away ...
For example, after u finish a test, u estimate you can get 8 (this is unsure value) mark, but after your test will be checked/evaluated, you just get 7.
