no difference in meaning, but there is a difference in usage
懂 -- used as a part of verbs of perception, like 看懂 and 听懂

明白跟懂是一样的。 比如 我明白你的意思了=我懂你的意思了。 这两个句子表达的意思是相同的。 而了解跟明白是有差别的。 所以了解是跟明白是不一样的。

They should be all the same. you can use any of them to express that you know/understand/be clear for something.
你明白了嘛？
你懂了嘛？
你了解了嘛？

明白 ： be aware of, get clear of
了解：know the gist
懂：understand
明白=懂, 了解表示你知道了，即使你不清楚里面的具体规则。
