how to pronounce heart and hurt.
I find it difficult to pronounce 'ear' sound and 'ur' sound. I know it's different but I cannot pronounce them well.
the sentence,'my heart hurts', is quite tough for me...
any advice?

Sometimes the irregular spelling of English words can cause confusion about the pronunciation. Be aware that 'heart' rhymes with these words:
art
part
cart
while 'hurt' rhymes with these words:
flirt
skirt
pert
So if you can say 'art' and 'flirt' , you can also say 'heart' and 'hurt'.
This works whether you choose to pronounce the letter 'r' - as in standard US English - or choose not to pronounce it - as in standard GB English.

in this case the "ea" in "heart" says "あ" sound and the "u" in "hurt" says the "う" sound!^^ If you want to hear it go to "Forvo.com" and search the word to hear a native speak them!

When you think about it in a silly way the "ur" in hurt sounds like "grrrrrrrr" like the sound you make when you imitate a dog growl-errrrrr. "Ear" in heart sounds like the "AAAAARG" that a pirate says! (: I hope that helped!
