What does "from back in the day" mean? Could someone help me understand this phrase - "from back in the day", what does it mean in below context? "I heard you found a very cool journal from back in the day?"

"from back in the day" - from an earlier time, from an earlier period.. "Back in those days, people used to type letters on things called "typewriters". How primitive!"
