If the bus has rows of devices that can be held by one person each, I personally would call that a "handle."  The buses where I live have one long pole on each side of the ceiling.  People here call that a "handrail" or just a "rail."  What the things in buses are, and what they are called, will vary highly depending on country and region.

In the US, we call it a "strap", as in "hang on to the strap so you won't fall"
