An accident happened just in front of us. And the car was in flame. We hurried and helped people, and saved them.

If I say;

If we hadn't come up with, they were going to burn to die.
If we hadn't rescue them, they were going to burn to die.

Answer

If we hadn't recudem them they would have burned and died.  
If we hadn't come upon them they would have burned and died.
