where is difference between tablets and pills?

Pills have a smooth layer on them to swallow them easily and are usually round in shape, tablets can be any shape and can also be sucked like candy or just crushed and mixed with water. Tablets are usally given to smaller children as it is easier for them to suck on them than swallow the whole thing like pills. Hope this helps

In the U.S. people use the word "pills" as the generic name for medicine taken by mouth in solid form. I might say "I have to pick up my pills at the drugstore," "I have trouble getting the caps off pill bottles," "I use a pill calendar to organize my pills so I don't forget to take them."
The commonest kinds of pill are "tablets" and "capsules." This picture shows a row of capsules and a row of tablets.
