I'm learning Korean and I've found that while some things may transfer over okay, it typically isn't something you'd want to try to translate over based on the romanized version of Hangul. For exampe, my name is Kinsey (ken-zee) and in Korean my name is spelled 킨지. Romanized from Hangul it comes out as Kinji. At first I wanted to use 시 for the second half of my name, but because of rules inside of the Korean language (separate from the romanized version) it would've sounded like Kin-shee.
The same thing goes for things that are spelled with the letter F in English. Hangul doesn't have an F so they'll substitute it for a P. Coffee, for example, becomes 커피 (Keo-pi).
I hope this makes sense and helps clarify it a little bit for you. There are a lot of slight changes like this throughout the Korean language. Hangul is pretty easy to pick up on though if you study hard. ^-^
