Which option/s would be correct here? please provide explanations. 1. Only by chance ________ that she had been stealing from us. a) I discovered b) did I discover 2. On no account ________ call him at home. a) should you b) you I think it should be option 'a' in both cases, though I'm not sure. Please elaborate the grammar rule they are following. Thanks

The grammar rule is a very simple one: 'Only by chance' and 'on no account' require an INVERSION of the subject and verb - just like for question forms.
