How do you use "run in" and "hunt in"?
1.What is the exact meaning of "run in" in the following sentence?
"Experiments on maze running in rats show that blind subjects do as well as sighted subject, tapping into their backup tactile system for feedback."
The words seems to be transitive, then, does it mean "enclose" or something?
2.
"Why should people be so passionate about a certain kind of sport? Because such a sport has some elements of hunting in it."
I supposed the meaning is similar to ”pursuit”, is it close?
