What does it mean "not to let things get out of perspective"

"Perspective" in art is the technique of painting the same object in a smaller size if it is distant, and larger if it is close. If a painting is "out of perspective" things look too large or too small.
Figuratively, it means not letting unimportant things seem more important than they are.
"I can't let my manager get away with that. I'm going to his office right now and quitting."
"Wait, take it easy, I think you've lost your perspective on this. I know what he can be like, but remember that overall you've always said you liked this job. Are you sure it's really all that important? Why don't you sleep on it? Tomorrow morning you may be able to regain your sense of proportion."

It means don't lose perspective , don't think irrationally or let your feelings cloud your judgement.

Depends of context, but in the general form can be probability not to let nothing out of your perspective or how jargon of managers, have a holistic vision of things.
