what is antonym for 'deep questions' in English?
so, I know what it means
when people say 'deep questions' ,
but what is antonym for that word ? like for example, I wanna ask something light question sort of small talk or something, then is it right to say 'I want to ask light questions to people'?
and I feel like if I say 'sallow questions' to substitute for antonym for 'deep questions', seems like it
doesn't refer to as 'light questions' but indicate questions that asks about only appearance or superficial things.
could you give a hand on this issue ?

I think "small talk", which you used, is the right phrase.
Example: I was sitting next to the prime minister at lunch. We made small talk and did not delve into any serious questions.
Another phrase that is often used is "polite conversation". Example: When you meet complete strangers at a garden party, just make polite conversation. There is no need to start a major discussion on foreign policy.
