Context?
Without knowing where that came from, I'd assume that it's a play on words. That rhymes with a more common saying that means approximately that there are a lot of annoyances and hardships to deal with every day. You'd use the idiom when you were talking about a tough time or when you were commiserating with someone who is.
I might use "life's a pitch" if I were talking about a baseball game that where everything went wrong. It's a slightly funny way of referring to the other saying.

I agree that it's a play on words. It looks like the title of an article from a popular magazine or tabloid newspaper.
The familiar phrase 'Life's a -itch' catches your eye, and then you see that the last word is 'pitch', as in 'football pitch', and you realise it's about sport. Or it could be about sales and marketing - as in 'sales pitch'. Either way, the article - perhaps about the trials and tribulations of a footballer or salesperson - has your attention and you read it.
And just as a side point: The word 'bitch' is not a 'bad word' for everyone. In the UK, a 'bitch' is a dislikable, domineering woman, especially one who makes unkind remarks about others. The worst thing about it is that it's a gender-specific insult. However, it has no sexual connotation, and there is no taboo about using it. For us, 'bitch' isn't a 'profanity' at all, not even a mild one.

I agree with the consensus that this is a play on words but probably not about baseball. It seems more likely to me that "pitch" refers to a football pitch (soccer field). Please excuse us Americans for not thinking of that first.

Life's a bitch! = Life is difficult. Life has a bad temper and loves to make you suffer. Boo! Pessimistic outlook on life.
(mild profanity; don't use in business environment)
Life's a beach! (A pun on "Life's a bitch!") An optimistic outlook on life by people who live near the ocean. It means life is fun because they can go to the beach every day and enjoy the sun, wind, and water! Yay!

I believe it is a way of saying a person loves that particular game. Yes, it is a play on words, but the emphasis is probably positive, not negative.
