How can I use ‘爱戴’ in my sentences? Is it a very formal word, or a common word?
If you could give me some examples, that'd be great!
Thanks,
Jay

爱戴 is a rather formal word, usually it is used in the passive, for example : 这个老师很受学生们爱戴

Formal and not used in daily conversation.
It can be seen in books or more serious talks.
We used it more often when we were studying in elementary school because it was contained in our text.It was used to describe the great people who have contributed a lot and were kind and positive and we'd say"他很受人爱戴”

愛戴 will use in popular person(In your friend zone) or you boss or teacher ...
Those people treat another nice usually .
Other people will 愛戴 them because of their personality.
And the others also respect them.
