When to use も and when to use もは？
In a recent notebook entry, I wrote several sentences including one that states : "I am 24 and I am also male". Originally I wrote it as so:

私は二十四, 私も男性

However, I was corrected by the member 'Junya Yoshida' (big thank you!) that it should be;

私はニ十四、もは男性

Firstly, is もは a particle in and of itself or a combination of two? secondly, can someone give an explanation of when I should use which?

I had a look at your entry and in fact he stroked your も。
私は二十四歳。 私は男性 。So his correction is simply two sentences with は.

To combine the two, you can use の : 私は24才の男性です。(I am a 24 y.o man)
I think you can also use そちて : 私は24才です、そして私は男です。(I am 24 y.o and I am a man)

I'm pretty sure that's incorrect. は is used just like も just that も means 'also'. Though, I could be the one incorrect here since I'm not fluent yet myself either. It's just that I've never seen も and は combined before.

I think you read wrong. He probably wrote 私は24歳の男性です。 or 私は24歳です。男性です。
もは doesn't exist in the language
