Hello! We use the present perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important. Ex. Has there ever been a war in the United States? Yes, there has been a war in the United States. The present perfect continuous tense is used to describe an action that started in the past and continued in the future. Ex. You have been waiting here for two hours.
