Te recomiendo empezar con dibujos animados, caricaturas como "Bob esponja", "Los padrinos mágicos", etc que son más fáciles de entender pues son para niños y luego ir subiendo poco a poco el nivel.

I'm studying Spanish as well, and I use to watching a soap opera called "Yo soy Betty, la fea". It's a colombian serie, too much funny, and its not too difficulty to understand its accent and pronunciation.

Hi Birjees, a popular show is Abrete Sésamo.  If you've seen Sesame Street or Iftah Ya Sim Sim, it's similar.  You could also put "Pixar en español" in the YouTube search bar and find translated Pixar films.  I hope this helps!  Have fun!
