Some questions about a sitcom
I'm watching a old sitcom called The Golden Girls. When Sophia and Dorothy had a quarrel, Rose said:"It's a beautiful day and Gloria's coming! Why don't you just kiss and make up?"
Sophia said:"Why don't you just blow it out your ditty bag."
What does Sophia mean? Does she mean "shut up"?
And when Rose talked about her family, she said:"My parents always made each of us feel like we were the favorite. They loved all nine of us equally. We used to have the best Christmas Eves. Daddy'd sit at Grandma's old player piano and he'd play Christmas carols and the children would sing along, then Mother'd bring in some homemade eggnog and snickerdoodles."
When she said " snickerdoodles", there was canned laughter. I know " snickerdoodles" is a type of cookie, but I don’t know why " snickerdoodles" was supposed to be laughing.

Close. Sophia means that she is rejecting the advice.
snickerdoodles - no idea. Sorry. American canned laughter has always perplexed me. It seems that they are just a type of biscuit (cookie in American English)
