How much recycling do you do personally? I was asked this question. Unfortunately I don't understand it. What does it mean to do recycling, how can I personally perform it.

Recycling occurs in many different countries. It is when we take our trash that can be used to make more new products and a company takes it separately from the trash. For example, at my house, I have two trash bins...one for trash (things that can not be recycled) and one for recyclables (plastic, glass, metals, etc..) You can know if something is recyclable by checking the bottom of the container. It will have a symbol if it is possible to recycle. Then later it will be taken to create new bottles, containers, etc. You might answer like this: I try to recycle as much as I can. I hate the waste we are creating in the world so I do my part to make less trash and if it is possible, I will recycle the trash and products I no longer need/use. or Unfortunately, my town doesn't have a good recycling program so I can only recycle glass and plastic. I wish we had more options. I think it's important to take our trash and turn it into treasure. or I would never recycle. I think it is a waste of time. Trash is trash and we should just throw it in the garbage (some people might look at you a little oddly if this is your response though. Most people view recycling as a good thing).

Hi Victoria, Recycling is an effort to sort out the parts of an item that can be collected and reprocessed in a factory to form new usable products. Examples are: plastics, clothes and paper products. Therefore, the question was asking if you do this often by yourself. You can personally "perform it" in your daily life. For example, when you buy juices from the supermarket, you can rinse the plastic container and put them in the plastic recycling bin. Instead of throwing your old newspapers, you can bundle them up neatly and put them in the paper recycling bin. If everyone plays his or her part, we can save the Earth. I volunteer in a local recycling project and we meet once month. Perhaps you caneed look into this area too. Cheers, Lance

Recycling is basically reusing or repurposing products. A good example is paper, plastic bottles, or metal cans that are made into other items to be then used again. When you throw rubbish away, you can choose a specific bin to put the rubbish in, depending on what it is. Paper bin, plastic bin, etc. This is generally how someone personally recycles. The rubbish will then go to a factory who will make it into other products. Hope this helps!
